Established in 2006, our client’s firm supplies total precast solutions to the real estate and construction sectors with a focus on the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. Service provision ranges from design to manufacture, supply and erection. An annual production capacity of 1,000,000 m2 of hollow core slabs and 45,000 m3 of other elements; this firm employs over 300+ staff. Our client now seeks a Production Manager to plan, coordinate and control the manufacturing procedures and processes.
This role is based at our client’s Saudi operation located in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. The organization enjoys state of the art production facilities. Products comprise wall panels, beams, columns, staircases, minorets, domes, foundations, boundary walls, girders, barriers and decorative.
Reporting to the President, the proven performer we seek will be responsible for:
- Leadership, management, training and performance management of the production team of 250+ staff.
- Planning, coordination and control of the manufacturing / production process including the drafting up of the production schedule.
- Ensuring that goods are produced efficiently without any production stoppage.
- Ensuring that the product is produced at the right cost and at the right level of quality.
- Ensure that the production cost is within proposed budget.
- The management of both human and material resourcing for the production process.
- Preparation of timetables for the staff.
- Keep a check on the condition of plant and equipment.
- Check the product quality standards and implement quality-control checks.
- Coordinate with managers and ensure that the company’s policies and goals are met.
- Ensure planned KPI’s of efficiency and performance are met or exceeded.
- Ensure implementation and evolution of safety procedure.
- Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
- Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices.
- Liaising among different departments, e.g. Suppliers, managers;
- Optimize resource utilization by implementation of an effective production organization.
- Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals;
- Ensure coaching and development of resources to meet business’s objectives.
- Coordinate, set up and implement standard operating procedure for all production operations.
- Manage the adherence to prescribed procedures to ensure first pass quality meets or exceeds planned goals.
- Estimating costs and setting the quality standards;
- Submit monthly management reports as required on company revenue and performance. - Candidates ideally will hold a tertiary qualification from commerce or comparable or possess a comparable of 10-15 years’ experience with at least 7 years in a Production Management capacity.
- Advanced abilities in mathematics and accounting are essential.
- Former experience in the GCC markets highly regarded.
- Exceptional people and leadership skills are essential plus candidates must be capable of judging demands of people and be highly detail oriented to both process and human resource needs.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities are required plus a thorough understanding of production technologies and methodologies.
- The ability to work across various levels of management and within a multi-cultural environment is required.
- A good command of English (written and verbal) is necessary.
