Our Clients’ regional Dubai office is part of the world’s largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. They design, manufacture and service systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms.
Their Dubai office is seeking to appoint an Engineering Manager who shall be responsible for program, project management life cycles for service provisions and then, latterly, he would be responsible for the EHS operational functions and standards for the company.
The Engineering Manager reports to the General Manager and forms part of the senior management team which includes the Business Development Team, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain Management / Materials, and Customer Service.
You will be in charge of supervising new product introduction, supporting the engineering and repair development teams. Interacting with multiple departments for the continuation of current and upcoming projects; problem solving technical issues, developing plans and managing processes to resolution, as well as coordinating and working in tandem with respective departments. There would be involvement in internal plans, budgets and schedules to meet internal and external vendor requirements.
You will be providing leadership on effective EHS service to the site management team, setting standards for the service, measuring performance against these standards and focusing on continuous improvement in order to enhance business operations. You would also be responsible for promoting the active EHS management site practices through the identification of hazards, evaluation of solutions and residual risk, and prioritized management action in addition to support and provide technical guidance to site management on all aspects of EHS in relationship to the site’s business. - Degree in Engineering (essential)
- PMP Certified (desirable, not essential)
- Previous Aerospace operations and maintenance industry experience (preferred, not essential)
- Candidate applications from an Automotive or OEM (pumps, valves, turbines) manufacturing industry background are desirable combined with:
- Demonstrable experience of Program / Project Management, Performance Management and Team Management experience (essential)
- Ability to read drawings / blue prints and maintenance manuals to provide team instructions, problem solving and communicate internally and externally (essential)
- Excellent English – written and spoken; ability to engage, communicate, build credibility, lead change and influence operational communications (essential)
- Ability to contribute or have previous experience of developing EHS and FM standards for the organization's strategic operational effectiveness (preferred, not essential)
