Taylor Sterling is looking for an experienced Claims Manager (MRICS/ MCIArb) to join a Global First Tier Contractor in Doha, Qatar. Extensive contractor (10+ years) and building project experience is required. Ideally you have worked on large Building projects in the GCC. Excellent package with family benefits on offer. Your responsibilities and main tasks: - Working on various contract and claims management tasks - Management activities - Assistance to the Project Teams member during project execution phases in all claims management topics - Definition of project specific Claim strategies - Compilation, Submission, Negotiation and successful timely closure of incoming and outgoing claims against contractual partners (client, subcontractors, consortium partners) - Support to project close-out activities - Support in both “on site” and “back office” claims management activities - Ensure the development and continuous improvement of risk and claim management standards and processes - Management of junior team members and training/ mentoring of Project Team Members in claims management topics - Bachelor's/ Master's degree - At least 10 years’ experience in the areas of contract and claims management in an international contracting company - Great interest in participating pro-actively in the challenges and tasks of Global Claims Management Division - Profound knowledge of construction claims and construction law - Profound knowledge of project management procedures of a construction contractor - Experience in Project Change Control Management and Commercial Management - Able to work independently and as a team member in a well-structured and systematic way - Experienced use of modern PC software - Fluent command of English language in speech and writing Special skills and Competences: - Negotiation skills - Analytical skills - Commercial acumen - Proactive, assertive, capable of working under high pressure - Conflict Management Skills - Effective Communication skills at all levels of management both internally and externally Taylor Sterling is as an independent search and selection recruitment firm based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
