The Technical Services Engineer provides technical services for the Emirates aircraft fleet to ensure that they achieve a high standard of performance and technical despatch reliability once in revenue service. Job Outline: Provides technical services for upgrade and modification of aircraft in revenue service and responsible for the following: - Evaluation of all manufacturers/regulatory authority documents e.g. ADs, SBs, SILs, All Operators Telexes, by completing Technical Documents Review form and follow-up action by issuing appropriate documents such as E.O., SEWC, EAN, Technical Notices and AMS amendments. - Preparation of cost benefit studies on major modifications and detailed Engineering Orders for incorporation on approval of management. - Arranging Engineering Modification Committee Meetings for the respective area so that timely action is initiated as required. - Monitoring high component removal rate and initiate follow up action to improve component and system reliability. Provides technical services to help reduce repair and maintenance costs and responsible for the following: - Reviewing and monitor technical Log on daily basis for system trends and for recommending action to maintenance personnel as required for repeated defects not covered by normal procedures. - Monitoring technical performance of repair agencies and make recommendations on changes if required. - Assisting in warranty claim clarifications and technical justification as required. - Reviewing aircraft deferred defect and initiate corrective action. Provides specialist technical advice for resolution of complex and/or unusual aircraft technical problems and responsible for the following: - Ensuring that equipment and system are maintained to ETOPS standard. - Preparing routine and non-routine reports and data or cost analysis for the respective area and associated systems for alternate management actions and sub contractor performance. - Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) : Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and/or holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence for 5 years - 8+ Years experience of which a minimum of 5 years in Technical Services function of which at least 3 years at Emirates type fleet. Knowledge/skills: - Thorough knowledge of latest technical developments and industry trends on respective Systems - Ability to analyse and synthesise the technical information for implementation in cost effective ways.
