MEP Commercial Manager
A world renowned construction group currently require an experienced MEP Project Commercial Manager to join a 1 billion USD project in Doha. The company have an extremely large footprint in the region and are currently delivering a wide range of complex projects within the State of Qatar.
Job description
This position is project based in Doha, Qatar.
A very complex and iconic architectural structure has been underway since 2010 and will be contributing to Qatar’s cultural landscape once complete.
The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the job accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standard.
Commercial Management
- Working with claims, disputes, arbitrations and legislations for the project.
- To analyse, draft, prepare, review, comment, rise, advice and negotiate all types of claims for the project.
- To draft and prepare all documents relating to all types of disputes and legal proceeding (arbitration, litigation, etc.) and coordinate and deal with any related issues.
- To collaborate with law firms and/or claim consultant, if there’s any, who’s under consultancy contract with the company.
Contract Management
- To draft, review and negotiate all contract agreement documents including but not limited to; contract amendment, subcontractors, design service agreement, etc.
- To draft, review and provide advices on all contractual correspondence between the project client, client’s representative, subcontractors, designers and engineers.
- To provide consultations on contractual strategies of the site schedule and quantum and to represent the project site on behalf of the key persons when required.
- To liaise with the international legal affairs team at the head office to set up strategic direction if necessary.
Claims Management
- To work for claims, disputes, arbitrations and legislations for the project.
- To analyse, draft, prepare, review, comment, revise, advise and negotiate all types of claims of the project.
- To draft and prepare all documents relating to all types of disputes and legal proceeding (arbitration, litigation, etc.) and coordinate and deal with any related issues.
- To collaborate with law firms and/or claim consultant, if there’s any, who’s under consultancy contract with the company. Skills and Experience
• The candidate will have a minimum of 15 years’ experience.
• The candidate will be expected to be adequately trained with professional hands on experience.
• Experience with large projects based in Qatar is preferable
• English Speaker preferred

The Candidate will have a Degree or Bachelor in science or MEP (or equivalent).
