Our client, a leading regional bank, is seeking an AVP Group Strategy to be based in Dubai. The role looks at the overall group strategy function - business strategy, core businesses (processs), M&A opportunities (local & international), new markets openings (organic/inorganic), budgeting cycles (cost reduction opportunities), working with the business unit managers to improve inefficiencies and clearly articulate complex ideas to senior management executives creating blueprints and road maps for a longevity and sustainable growth. Candidate needs to have a strong general understanding of Banking Sector. Ideally worked as a Strategy Consultant in a tier 1 or 2 firm focusing on Banking Transformation and Investment and growth opportunities via new market entry. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity with a leading regional Financial institution with a real opportunity to have a tangible impact on Strategic direction and institutional inefficiencies at a group level. The role offers a generous tax free salary + exceptional benefits. - Candidate should have an MBA from a top University (ie. Insead, Harvard, London Business School etc) - Candidates whom are currently working as either Engagement Manager, Senior Associate, Junior principal, Project leader, Case team leader within a top tier Strategy firm focusing on the banking sector will be the ideal fit for this role. - Candidates working within mature global markets in Financial centres (ie. London, NY, HK, Singapore etc) - Candidates with a proven track record of reducing costs, increasing efficiency, transforming banks, creating blueprints and roadmaps for large FS institutions - Will have at least 10-15 years experience in business process analysis and improvement - Proven track record in engaging and communicating complex initiatives with a proven ability to bring on side multiple stakeholders at a board level.
