Our client, a long established and respected family conglomerate is currently looking for an EH & Safety Officer. The environmental, health and safety (EHS) officer is responsible for all aspects of an organization’s compliance with occupational and environmental laws and regulations. He/she handles any regulatory questions employees or managers may have, as well as analyzes activities at every company site to ensure complete regulatory compliance. ? Recognised Health & Safety Qualification or Diploma or equivalent formal qualification ? Minimum 5 years’ experience as officer in a similar environment. ? Additional qualifications as per UAE regulations, if applicable ? NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. ? Fire Safety Accreditation. ? Any other relevant safety accreditation ? Minimum 3 years work experience in a blue/white collar mixed environment ? Familiar with Dubai rules & regulations regarding environment, health & safety. ? ISO exposure ? Diver’s Licence ? Computer literate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, Excel and Power Point. ? Knowledge of International standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001. ? Tact and diplomacy ? Ability to work independently and as part of a team ? Good communication skills and interpersonal skills ? Discretion and respect for confidentiality and privacy ? Integrity and honesty.
