FAMCO is an ISO 9001:2008 &ISO 14001:2004 certified company. We are seeking to hire a Senior Accountant- Cost. Your Job responsibilities will be including but not limited to the following: * Monitoring inventory transactions * Preparing monthly journal entries as needed, Reconciling inventory accounts to GL as to assist in Month end close. * Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count programDeveloping inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances * Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as units, applications, spare parts purchases, and labor. * Verifying accurate standard costs * Maintaining Cost Accounting System Analyzing changes in product costing parameters or services provided, to determine effects on cost * Making estimates of new and proposed product costs * Special projects as required Analyzing actual COGS and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs * Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports * Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. As a Senior Accountant- Cost you need to demonstrate the following Qualities, Experiences & Skills: Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics or related field preferred Minimum Experience: * A  Minimum of 2 solid years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing or workshop Environment * A  Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software. * A  Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills Job-Specific Skills: * A  Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills * A  Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of costA A A A A A A A A A A A A A  standards * A  Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management * A  Strong analytical and problem solving skills * A  Good presentation skills * A  Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports Behavioural Competencies : * Strong interpersonal skills for interacting accountants, clients, and upper management. * Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Good presentation skills * Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize works Established in the 1930's, the Al-Futtaim Group initially operated as a trading enterprise.
