Our client is a leading international bank. They are a global leader in banking and financial services and are involved in retail, corporate and investment banking. They are currently looking for an IT Functional Analyst Duties & Responsibilities: - Periodic & frequent reporting to the Head of the Team. - Guarantor of the banking applications availability and stability. - Establish the required business processes to support the bank’s functional requirements. - Manage new components, enhancement, and maintenance tasks and projects migration on production machines. - 1st level of functional support for the major banking applications of the platform and for all users in the Middle-East and Africa Territories and for the Production Teams in Paris - Plan ,design and perform a periodic database/applications tuning and performance monitoring - Writing Technical and Functional requirement for the business requests. - Responsible for the conformity and surveillance of production banking modules, Perform an impact analysis of any changes to be performed on the production environments. - Responsible for applying tasks and controls which contribute to the quality of the processes to ensure that the banking end of day and end of month results are accurate, exhaustive, and timely. - Periodic Clean-up and decommissioning maintenance on the productions processes/machines. - Ensure that all production procedures are well written and maintained. - Prepare and maintain the production dashboards which record all productions activities - Ensure the entire software enhancement and new development are tested and updated. - To manage day to day change requests in relation to the department’s project plans to ensure agreed deadlines are met. - Manage the daily activities of production to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to the impacted users, technical resources, and Management - To follow up activities and produce incidents status to its management progress against outstanding - Review, determine and manage testing needs with regard to new systems and system enhancements - To document the systems and functional processes making it easy for the new comers to understand the system. - Organize, coordinate and manage migrations - Close follow-up of the progress of corrections of incidents. - Ensure that all incidents/requests are well logged in ITSM – incident management tool - Availability to resolve all incidents related to its domain of activities within the standard control and security standard - Being proactive in performing database/application tuning and performance monitoring. - Perform general technical troubleshooting and provide internal consulting expertise and support to technical teams for any related DB subject - Train development/infrastructure/production staff for better use/support of available database environment - Ensure databases integrity and security - Review, determine and manage testing needs with regard to new systems and system enhancements - Self-information and follow-up of all evolutions (new standard and/or local applications, materials, development tools…). - Minimum B.S.C in computer science or Information systems - 3 Years of experience (Overall and relevant experience) - General knowledge of banking activities and operations (It’s a must to have candidate who come from banking) - Oracle Certified Professional - Good Knowledge of analyzing, documenting, writing down functional specifications and interacting with end users - Excellent knowledge of database architecture, design and tuning. - Good knowledge of activity planning - Good knowledge of Unix technology - Good knowledge of ORACLE Databases ,SQL and PL/SQL - Good command of IT Security concepts, principles, protocols and solutions. - Capable of developing/enhancing business solutions using programming languages such as Unix shall script , ORACLE SQL & PLSQL ,COBOL and JAVA - Strong communication skills - Ability to work independently - Ability to monitor multiple tasks - Flexible with travelling - Available on Call. - Availability for extra hours of work, from time to time Propel Consult delivers a service in step with the needs of both our client companies and candidates.
