Manage and have overall performance accountability on the operation and performance of the Solutions Delivery ITS function. Accountable for the design, development, procurement, testing and implementation of software solutions in support of change request and projects.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against departmental goals.
- Responsible for a result-oriented management and development of people and resources, including provision of a strong day-to-day leadership presence involving resource allocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staff meetings.
- Manage the department expenditure and requirements, keeping in mind its impact and utilization on the financial budget.
- Responsible for the design, specification, development, integration and testing of technical solutions that meet the needs of the business and its customers
- Vendor Management for the external partners relating to the business applications
- Ensure that all relevant policies and procedures are followed at all times (including by third party providers)
- Workforce planning for the Solutions Delivery team
- Coordinate technical programs of work - Bachelor degree in IT/Systems engineering or relevant
- 10+ years of professional experience in the IT relevant field and at least 5 years of solutions development and delivery management
- DW/BI Methodologies (e.g. Kimball/Inmon)
- Procurement of IT solutions and systems
- Third party systems supplier contract negotiation
Licensure / Certification Requirements
- ITIL v3 Foundations and Service Transition certified
- Infrastructure & Technology certification a plus
- Project Management Certification a plus
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in developing and architecting solutions in a collaborative environment, as well as significant experience in multiple hardware/software computing and cloud environments
- Hands on software development and testing designs, coding, unit testing, documentation, etc.
- SDLC methodology waterfall, prototyping, rapid application development, etc.
- Strong knowledge in processes source code control, build process, testing, release management, roll back, integration, requirements, traceability, etc.
- Very good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills
- Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of arabic language is an added advantage
- Strong level of customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
- Good knowledge of Microsoft applications
