This is a true leadership opportunity and you will have oversight of the day to day finance as well as the wider strategic and operational elements of the business. Key responsibilities will include the following: - Understand a range of complex tax issues and be able to effectively advise the organization through your economic and financial knowledge - Establish and deliver effective optimized tax solutions, products and practical planning services - Deliver insightful, accurate and timely business and financial analysis - Financial forecasting including strategic planning will be a core part of your responsibilities - Board reporting and financial controls - Support the CFO and Board in a wide range of business / financial activity - Introduce high impact actions such as redesigning organization structures, processes, systems to drive and reinforce the desired change - Work closely with the distinct areas of the organization’s interests and have a good grasp of the key drivers and levers that impact performance - Build effective relationships across the organization to enable effective business partnering - Use your business knowledge and communication skills to effectively challenge and influence key stakeholders to enable best in class decision support and business delivery - Demonstrate a deep understanding of organization-wide strategy and objectives to inform its performance in the marketplace, assessing and adjusting overall product/service mix to meet tactical and strategic objectives - A highly commercial and strategic approach is necessary as is the ability to manage and thrive in a change environment - You will have the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels - This role will not suit someone who is content to sit back and review, a "hands on" mentality is absolutely necessary - Being a good team player, flexible and adaptable are appealing personality traits - Strong exposure to banking / financial services environment - Retail banking background as well as GCC experience would be advantageous - Experience in tax compliance, advisory work, risk management, and strategic planning would be desirable - Ability to travel is necessary Mackenzie Jones Middle East has decades of recruitment expertise in various industry sectors.
