Directs and provides technical guidance to the assigned project and/or discipline engineers in the management of engineering projects. Reviews staffing plans on all assignments. Participates in project planning during all stages of the execution of the task(s). Reviews project schedules and approves staffing estimates for engineering personnel for new proposals and jobs as assigned. Keeps the client informed on the status of the projects/tasks involving assigned personnel with respect to schedule, budget, task execution, work quality and client satisfaction, and contributes leadership, experience and expertise in the solution of difficult problems. Monitors the use of available engineering computer programs, technical advances and engineering management control techniques on the projects assigned. Formulates and recommends the approval of engineering plans and programs for assigned projects. Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in design of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and applications of ITS for urban streets, highways and expressways, in coordination with utilities for rights-of-way within cities, towns and major land development projects. Must be expert with ITS design based on International Standards and evolving "new urbanism" standards for interchanges, arterial streets, expressways, collectors, local and residential streets. The experience must also include ITS applications for multi-modal and pedestrian treatments, within the roadways right-of-way and variety of operating conditions. A graduate from an accredited institution. The candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English. Note: Candidates located in Saudi Arabia and having transferable iqama will be given priority.
