The purpose of the HR Business Partner role is to provide comprehensive HR support to the staff in a generalist role. Working closely with the HR Director, you will work together to ensure a high quality HR service is delivered across the business. The work also includes liaising with internal and external customers and colleagues in order to resolve problems and ensure an effective and professional service delivery. Main responsibilities will include - Results Orientation • Provide first line support to Directors and Managers advising on HR policies and processes • Ensure procedures for effectively managing work performance and attendance are in place and that said procedures are adhered to and consistently monitored • Maintain an awareness of HR best practice at all times Team skills • Work closely with Managers and Directors to support recruitment campaigns for individual roles including drafting of job descriptions and advertisements, sending correspondence, arranging interviews and interviewing potential applicants • Work collaboratively with colleagues, supporting and promoting a productive working environment by encouraging an open and honest culture and challenge poor performance or behaviour appropriately Problem Solving • Assist with Employee Relations issues such as disciplinary and grievance meetings, coordinate with HR department to ensure situations are managed appropriately and escalated where necessary • Identify any issues within current working practices and identify solutions to ensure continual improvement Administration • Creating new documentation to support the delivery of the HR framework. This includes documents such as, job descriptions, recruitment materials, training materials etc. • Arranging welcome meetings and inductions for new starters • Maintain ownership of the company HR Information System, checking employee records are up to date and all correspondence is accurately uploaded • Maintain accurate file notes recording meeting minutes, reviews, training records and any personnel issues • Coordinate administrative duties that enable the department to function correctly, including booking interviews, appraisal meetings training sessions etc. • Responsible for ensuring the company website and social media sites are up to date with current job vacancies • Producing and presenting reports to the Group HR Director on HR information such as attendance records, attrition rates and comp and benefits information, training needs analysis and proposals for improvement. Key Relationships • HR Director • Directors, Managers and Heads of department • Internal staff About you Essential Skills and Competencies • An adept communicator with a good command for the English language and ability to liaise with people on all levels • Excellent literacy skills and a proficient computer user with experience of using Microsoft office, internet and email systems • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines • Proven Project Management skills and good attention to detail • A methodical and organised approach to work • Ability to work using your own initiative and effectively troubleshoot problems • Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment Desirable Skills and Competencies • Experience working within a similar role is highly desirable • Working knowledge of UAE employment law is highly desirable Qualifications • Educated to A level (or equivalent) within a subject relevant to the position (working towards) A CIPD qualification is highly desirable • Working knowledge of KSA, Moroccan, Egyptian and other GCC country employment laws is desirable HR Source Consulting is a premier Human Resources Consultancy that provide clients across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) with expert human resources planning and solutions.
