Qatar will be hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup™ and will become the first Middle East nation in history to stage this event. A key long term strategic hiring opportunity exists within CH2M’s World Cup PMC project office in West Bay, Doha, in the State of Qatar.
CH2M is the Programme Management Consultant (PMC) responsible for the Programme Management to competition venues, training sites, associated common domain precincts and the coordination of the regeneration Programme integration works, acting on behalf of the client Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.
The job
Reporting to the Senior Management of Transport Operations your prime objective will be to help plan for successful transport operations for a major sporting event within the State of Qatar.
Leading the incumbent transport planning team and working closely with the Infrastructure Assurance team, you will help provide an overview of venue access arrangements and transport modelling to ensure all transport planning activities are managed. This will be a key assurance and reporting position and will involve interfacing with important stakeholders. An excellent analytical mind will be a prerequisite along with strong communication skills both written and verbal.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate sound transport planning capabilities with exposure to large transport projects ideally operating within large city environments. Experience in events planning and operations is highly preferable. We are seeking Chartered professionals with at least 20 years of experience and a Transport Planning Professional qualification. Experience of working on international projects would be ideal with some exposure to working within the Middle East although not essential.
Based in the World Cup Project Office, situated in the modern skyline of West Bay, the position offers long term career prospects and an opportunity to join an organization who are securing some exciting projects in the global urban environments market.
