The Company: Our client is a large, international construction company that has build on over 140 years of experience in planning, development and execution. The company has been involved in building countless important structures and projects at home and abroad. Our client is looking for a Contract administrator to work in Qatar. Duties & Responsibilities: Contract Administrator on a major new metro project in Qatar working on behalf of a three party joint venture taking a key role in downstream contract management and providing information and support in respect of upstream contract issues. General contract administrator duties as an integral part of the project team with emphasis on sub contract and downstream management. Review all incoming correspondence from subcontractors and where appropriate, suppliers and draft appropriate responses for review and issue by project management. Negotiation off suitable subcontract terms and preparation of sub contract documentation in line with existing subcontract framework for review and issue with potential to develop and improve if necessary, that framework. Analyse, consider and respond to subcontractor variation requests and delay claims; Administration and monitoring of subcontract bonds, warranties and insurances as appropriate Other tasks as directed relevant to the role. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor Degree. Chartered quantity surveyor MRICS/ chartered builder MCIOB’ Member of chartered institute of arbitrators MCIArb Minimum age around 35 years 15 years experience International experience Good command of written English and letter writing skills Good understanding of and exposure to contracts essential Propel Consult delivers a service in step with the needs of both our client companies and candidates.
