Category Manager - Food Retail Supply Chain - Kuwait With more than 750 cafes, stores and restaurants the Alshaya Food division offers a range of roles for different hospitality backgrounds. Brands such as The Cheesecake Factory, Starbucks, P.F. Changs, Pizza Express and Shake Shack provide everything from quick service and casual up to fine dining. We launched 8 new brands across 2012 and 2013 and have more planned for 2014. The Role: Our Food Retail Division requires an experienced Category Manager to manage a range of product sectors across multiple brands. This role would cover sourcing, range and demand planning As someone who has a passion and strong understanding of 'food', you will have had a solid career in buying, planning or merchandising, ideally within a retail product environment. This role will cover multiple internationally-recognised brands and have high exposure throughout the business function. This is an outstanding opportunity for a unique individual to apply their knowledge into this growing division, with the autonomy to look ahead for future opportunities and openings. You must have strong communication skills, exceptional numerical acumen as well as advanced knowledge of Excel (to pivot table level). A clear capability of integrating into a corporate environment whilst having an awareness of the cultural aspects of the company and the country are essential. M.H.
