Project Manager - AF Technologies - KSA
The project manager must be able to plan and manage ELV / ICT projects such as CCTV, Access Control, Audio Visual system, Structured Cabling, Data Network and Voice projects, from start to finish, to the approved project parameters e.g. client requirements, quality standards, budgeted cost and delivery schedules to meet committed client requirements. He must be techno-commercial and must fully understand and follow industrys best practices for project management & HSE.
About the Role:
The project manager must be able to plan and manage ELV / ICT projects such as CCTV, Access Control, Audio Visual system, Structured Cabling, Data Network and Voice projects, from start to finish, to the approved project parameters e.g. client requirements, quality standards, budgeted cost and delivery schedules to meet committed client requirements. He must be techno-commercial and must fully understand and follow industrys best practices for project management & HSE.
Key Accountabilities:
- Project Planning, technical / material approvals, project tracking & monitoring, detailed documentation, resource management, team motivation and team work, etc.
- Identify & access all the risks including cost & timing after award of the project
- Conduct value engineering studies and exercises to ensure cost savings to AFT and provide value added benefits to the client
- Verify & confirm BOQ, Prelims & other expenses in advance to avoid unwarranted / unaccounted costs.
- Prepare RFQ for issuing subcontracts and recommend the best fit sub-contractor for the job keeping the costs low.
- Reduce internal manpower costs by managing resources appropriately.
- Submit weekly reports on all projects to the management clearly showing escalations where required along with project based cost savings.
- Delivery schedule to be provided to the commercial team at the beginning of each project. Education:
- A degree in Electronics/ Electrical / Telecom or a related discipline
Certifications:
- PMP certified.
- SCS (Copper & Fiber) .
- CCTV, ACS, Intrusion Detection (ELV Systems).
- Data Networking.
Soft Skills:
- Languages: English (Fluent in both Spoken and Written); Arabic is a definite plus.
- Communication: Highly motivated and strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to prepare legal / contractual / commercial documents in English as required for the projects.
- An excellent customer service attitude and the ability to interact with customers in a professional manner are required.
- Must always keep themselves updated on the various changes in ICT / ELV industry including structured cabling systems (SCS), Data Networking System (DNS), WiFi, Telephony (Voice), physical security solutions (like CCTV, ACS, PIDS, Intrusion Detection, etc) and all realted integrations that are available with the company and partners or offered by the competitors.
- Must be a techno-commercial with hands-on technical experience as well has excellent commercial knowledge
- Must be very knowledgable in HSE / PPE requirements for any type of construction site or industrial projects.
- Maintain a strong network of contacts in the ICT industry to ensure that the best fit can be identified to handle Projects.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, Time management, Project Management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the construction industry and their processes / procedures including HSE / PPE requirements
- Good Leadership & teamwork skills with ability to learn new technologies.
Experience:
- Minimum 6 to10 years of relevant industry experience, of which at least 5 years are in Project Management role wherein he / she has independently handled complete projects.
