Requirement For Engineer / Sr. Engineer / Principal Engineer - Bridge Design having Minimum 3 Years of Experience in Bridge Design Consultancy Services.
Responsibilities
Manage a small team of engineers and technicians, engineering design, assessment, design and inspection report writing, responsible for financial and project management.
Technical Excellence and delivery of projects taking account of Health & Safety .
Agree Priorities and deadlines; ensure timely delivery within fee allocation.
Align work with WoW and maintain Document Control for all work.
Proactively raising queries and identifying necessary inputs from others.
Self-development, training and mentoring.
• Responsible for managing mid-scale project teams.
• Authors high quality technical reports.
• Understands technical issues and costs related to selection of complex design features.
• Able to present work at Client meetings and deliver high quality presentations.
• Applies broad technical experience and knowledge and able to check or critically review work of all those in the project team.
• Able to prepare and review project cost estimates for all packages of work.
• Fully proficient in structural analysis and design of variety of structures and able to review deliverables for the project.
• Through understanding of international Railway standards, International codes of practice, Health and safety legislation.
• Detailed knowledge of multi-discipline designs and competence with engineering software such as Staad Pro, LUSAS.
• Proficiency in dynamic and static analysis. Develop schematic designs and detailed designs for small to large scale projects.
• Carry out checks on the work carried out by Junior engineers and AutoCAD technicians.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned tasks between all disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet Clients requirements and compliance with relevant Codes of Practice.
• Responsible for compliance with WSP QA/QC procedures and implementation of procedures.
• Keep abreast of latest trends and technologies in the Industry. • At least 3 years’ experience of working with Bridges design.
• Experience in the analysis and documentation of bridge engineering works and processes from Feasibility and Design to Implementation and Client Handover.
• Experience to work in/with other cultures.
• Have respect for deadlines and achieve targeted results whilst working individually.
