Job Description
• Evaluate and generate system, network, telephony ad storage requirements based on business needs and other constraints – cost and schedule.
• Lead the development and ongoing maturity of automation and continuous improvement regarding physical hardware, load balancing, virtual desktops, application clustering, networking, storage, backup, replication and disaster recovery systems.
• Evaluate system, storage, and network requests to ensure best practices and cost effectiveness; make alternative design recommendations when necessary.
• Evaluate new technologies and industry best practices and provide recommendations to management, including planning and execution of POC activities and looking for ways to leverage these activities for improving efficiency, reducing IT spending and increasing productivity.
• Work with application development, software architects, operations and third party vendors to architect networks, systems, and storage environment that effectively reflect business needs ad service level requirements.
• Lead and/or contribute major projects utilizing a structured project management methodology.
• Works with systems and database administration staff to implement, coordinate and maintain enterprise-wide data architecture.
Requirement
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree Computer Science, Information Technology or other related degree
• Minimum of 5+ of experience working with infrastructure technologies – support, setup, monitoring ad performing testing.
• A minimum of 3 years in an Infrastructure Architect role in developing end-to-end system solutions covering network, server, database, application, telephony and reporting domains.
• A minimum of 3 years working experience with System Development Life Cycle models including Waterfall, Iterative and Agile methodologies (SCRUM). Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification in ITIL, MCSE, PMP, CCNA or TOGAF is preferred.
