A leading company in the manufacturing industry is currently seeking to hire qualified candidates in the following positions: Mechanical Engineer Two Atbara 10 October 2013 Immediately To manage the mechanical maintenance of the plant and it’s equipment, and to significantly improve plant performance and reliability through the management and coordination of all mechanical maintenance and engineering activities within a large scale, complex, defined area. To define, implement and manage a risk based mechanical maintenance strategy for area of control in order to meet the business, Safety, Environment, Financial and Operational objectives at minimum cost and in the safest manner. · Manage, coordinate and control all aspects of mechanical engineering in order to meet agreed department objectives. · Develop the mechanical maintenance strategy for a defined area in conjunction with the site engineer. · Manage and control the maintenance strategy on a day-to-day basis, including routine, special and stop period maintenance, and to develop and implement capital activities. · Ensure Health & Safety and Environment standards and targets are met and maintained within defined company procedures and legislative requirements. · Identify areas for engineering and financial improvement, and enable their inception whilst maintaining an appropriate level of availability and reliability of equipment. · Ensure the safe and effective introduction of new equipment, capital expenditure and process improvement technologies. · Determine training requirements and prepare training plans. · Prepare and manage mechanical engineering budgets, forecasts and plans. · Requires and expert understanding of mechanical maintenance and engineering processes and strategic. · Minimum of 5 years experience in a process, technical or engineering discipline. · Able to demonstrate previous success in introducing risk based maintenance techniques into industrial/manufacturing organizations. · Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems, and a knowledge of SAP PM&MM would be advantage. · Release from national service. · Excellent knowledge of computer skills. · Good communication skills and excellent written and spoken English and Arabic language. · Ability to work under pressure. · Willing to re-allocate to Atbara. · Experience in the cement industry is an added value.
