• Participate in the development of IT audit plan. As part of the IT Audit assignments, review the matters connected with:- • Installation of new and existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. • Installation and configuration of systems such as supports GIS infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications. • Installation, configuration procedures and system standards. • system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. • Security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions. • Daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary. • Upgrading and configuration system software that supports GIS infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications per project or operational needs. • Any other areas as mandated in IT Audit plans Prepare IT audit reports highlighting areas of risk and control and present results and recommendations. Education: • Bachelor’s degree in an IT/Engineering related discipline such as Computer Science, Software Engineering and Telecom Engineering; or related field. • Master's degree in the related disciplines will be desirable. • Professional certifications in IT systems and software is required (VMware Certified Associate, Data Center Virtualization (VCA-DCV) VMware Certified Advanced Professional 5 – Data Center Design (VCAP5-DCD), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNA), Cisco Certified Internetwork, or equivalent). Experience: • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in computer system administration. • Knowledge of: Programming languages and operating systems; current equipment and technologies in use; Unix system administration, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools; effective project management techniques; principles and practices of effective management and supervision. • Working experience in public sector IT projects (Digital government) is highly desirable. Language Requirements: • Fluency in both written and spoken English. • Knowledge of Arabic is highly desirable. A leading & reputable audit institution based in Qatar.
