Ref: MP274-138 The profile of the role requires an experienced Accounts Receivable Analyst or Finance Administrator with attention to detail, strong numeracy, customer service and communication skills. Additionally the requirements of monthly close activities with balance sheet reconciliation are a mandate. Key to this role will be the ability to ensure arrears, debtor days, and direct debit collection failure rates do not exceed set thresholds and focus on quality is required to manage the cash collection process across the Middle East region. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) • Follow up on, collect and allocate payments • Carry out collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines (incl. possible travel) • Perform account reconciliations • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities • Research and resolve payment discrepancies • Generate age analysis • Customer credit management • Review AR aging to ensure compliance • Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records • Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc. • Investigate and resolve customer queries • Organize a recovery system and initiate collection efforts • Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally • Assist with month-end closing, including revenue cut off testing on monthly basis. • Collect data and prepare monthly metrics • Participates in the monthly/quarterly/yearly financial closings of the business • Support the department during the internal and external audits • Provide monthly reports to sales team on customer payment trends and issues • Perform cash forecasting analysis and reporting activities • Assist in special projects as necessary • Degree in Commerce/Finance with at least two years prior experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SKILLS • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft office products as well as have excellent computer skills.
