The British Council is the UK’s international organization for educational opportunities and cultural relations. The British Council invites applications from qualified candidates for the following vacancy at its Khartoum office: To provide BC Sudan & South Sudan with the financial services and advice needed to ensure an efficient, secure and appropriately controlled financial environment. ·           Ensuring the effective financial management of the directorate. ·         Managing cash flow. To maintain accurate cash flow forecasts. ·         Manage & control all collected invoiced / uninvoiced and over the counter income as per corporate standards & policies. ·         Managing the banking process for both Sudan & South Sudan. ·         Maintaining office accounting systems to the standards of Essential Finance. ·         Participating in the effective budget management of the Sudan Directorate. ·         Preparation for the monthly and quarterly FCCF returns. ·         Responsible for Payroll and to ensure tasks are completed to satisfaction of line management. ·         Supporting the delivery of financial services by contributing to the development of policies. ·         Line managing the Finance Officer / Assistant. ·         Ensuring that all finance-related activities are consistent with key equal opportunities and diversity principles. Connecting with Others, working together, being accountable, making it happen. ·         At least 4 year’s experience with a reputable organization in financial management. ·         Previous experience with SAP. ·         Analytical & problem solving skills, excellent organizational and time management skills. ·         Financial planning skills, ·         Professional finance certification and or University Degree (Finance). ·         High level of Arabic and English language (IELTS 7 or above equivalent) skills.
