Logistic Assistant Capital Logistic Officer 12 months (renewable) Khartoum, Sudan 1.800 SDG (according to qualification and experience) ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) is an international NGO founded in 1993 and headquarter in Paris. We are implementing projects in 28 countries spread over Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. ACTED currently has operations in Zalingei, Central Darfur. The activities include WASH in camps and rural areas, basic infrastructures and Food Security livelihoods. The activities are spread over three administrative areas Terej, Abata and Sullu around Zalingei, and IDP camps, reaching an estimated 170.000 people. ·           Under the supervision of the Capital Logistic Officer, the incumbent carries out the following duties: ·         Ensure the procurement and maintenance for the office (office supplies, stationeries, electricity, water…). ·         Supervision of guards. ·         Assist the Capital Logistic Officer for procurement of program items (collecting quotations, elaborating contracts, getting invoices from the suppliers). ·         Follow up all the procurement by making sure that ACTED’s procurements are respected. ·         Local transportation organization for Khartoum staff. ·         Organization of freight to the field. ·         Supervision of drivers.   ·         Ensure that all procured material/items for field office are well documented (asset registration) or are registered in the stock. ·         Maintain and updates the inventory follow up every time something goes into or out of the stock. ·         Assists the Capital Log by collecting inventories from the field and its submission to Paris. ·         Maintain the archives as per ACTED standards. ·         Diploma degree in Logistics or in any relevant field. ·         Strong experience in Logistics. ·         Ability to meet under administrative and programmatic deadlines. ·         Ability to follow logistics and financial procedures. ·         Willing to travel. ·         Mature and self control. ·         Communication skills. Ability to work with the different department, Logistics, Program. ·         Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). ·         Fluently in Arabic & English. ·         2-3 years of experiences in INGO. ·         Duration: 12 months. ·         Location: Khartoum. ·         Date of beginning: 1st of December 2013 Applications, in English, should include a resume/CV, a cover letter and three references with at least one reference from a previous employer/supervisor.
