Job Profile: Finance Manager – Reporting to the Company Manager ( Owner) Purpose of the position: The Finance Manager is a key member of the Senior Management Team responsible for the day to day accounting and financial management. The Finance Manager is also responsible for budgeting, reporting on the financial performance to General Manager (Company Owner). Key Tasks: 1. Statutory financial reporting for management and owners • Preparation of Annual Budget and forecasts • Weekly bank reconciliations • Receive all purchase invoices with their expenses to prepare the cost of all products • Receive all sales invoices from branches for inventory calculation • Monitoring the inventory on weekly basis • Make payments of all authorized invoices (cheques) • Create appropriate book keeping entries, create accruals where necessary • Resolve all supplier enquiries 2. Communicating policy decisions to management • Prepare finance policy and procedures • Provide financial advice to management and owners. 3. Preparing payroll for all branches and head office General Duties 1. Create and establish an accounting from the beginning for a company has more than three years old without a clear accounting. Ability to handle more than one small company at the same time (holding company) 2. Deal with banks to arrange new sources of finance. 3. To provide verbal and written reports as may be required by management and owners. 4. To work in accordance with the company policies and procedures. 5. Such other appropriate duties as may be required from time to time.
