Medecins sans Frontieres is a private international association. It provides assistance to populations in distress, to victims of nature or man-made disasters and to victims of armed conflicts. They do so irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions. The association is made up mainly of doctors and health sector workers and is also open to all professions, which might help in achieving its aims. : Deputy Logistic Coordinator – level 11 : ElFashir (North Darfur Team) : Functionally: by the Logistic Coordinator and Hierarchically: by Deputy Head of Mission in EF. · To assist Logistics Coordinator in representing MSF in meetings with authorities and other NGOs in El Fasher for logistics related issues and as defined by the Logistics Coordinator. · To assist the Logistics Coordinator in tracking all the mission’s assets in collaboration with the projects logistics managers, the Assistant log Co in Khartoum and the Logistician in El Fasher. · To assist/deputize the Logistics Coordinator on all the logistics technical aspects of MSF operational response in the mission as assigned by the Logistic Coordinator. · Participate in the appropriate implementation and management of logistics activities in MSF projects in the mission/country, as advised by the Logistic Coordinator. · To reinforce logistics coordination in particular with the objective to build more capacity within the national staff in Sudan. · Ready to learn all issues related to Logistics coordination and management. · Bachelor degree in logistics or other related studies (computer science, engineering, etc). · Fluent in English and Arabic. · Working experience of at least two years in relevant jobs. · Experience with MSF or other NGOs · Driving license for vehicles · Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Internet) · Experience in Water a Sanitation · Previous working experience in North Darfur. · Identification with MSF · Cross cultural awareness and flexibility · Self control · Analytical thinking · Initiative and innovation · Internal user and beneficiary orientation · Teamwork Interested candidates are requested to send their application to Khartoum HAC Labour Office Closing date: 31 October 2013 For more information contact 0912308493 Noon Hamid
